Le château Cheval Blanc est situé sur la commune de Saint-Emilion à la limite du territoire de Pomerol. le domaine s’étend sur 39 hectares divisés en quarante-cinq parcelles. Réputé pour sa finesse exceptionnelle et sa matière remarquablement complexe, le Château Cheval Blanc est une légende de l’appellation Saint-Emilion qui produit des vins mythiques.
Le vignoble est la propriété de LVMH / Albert Frère. Le Domaine est administré par Pierre Lurton (qui dirige également Château Yquem).
Le château possède d’excellents sols graveleux et sols argileux dans des proportions similaires. L’encépagement du vignoble est le suivant: 52% cabernet franc, 43% merlot et 5% cabernet sauvignon.
